Re: Sv: Snowtrooper! Lets do this!
I Think easiest is to simply build only partial ANH. I am however on vacation in Italy so can't give you more specifics until later, someone else might be able to help before then?
TK Stormtrooper - 100%
SL Darth Vader - 20%
SL Darth Vader - 20%

Re: Snowtrooper! Lets do this!
Basicly its just an ANH blaster, but without the Hengstler counter on the side of the scope, or the cylinders on the magazine well. A few have extra greeblies, but theese are not required.
Its in the bottom of the CRL http://www.whitearmor.net/fisd/CRL:ESB
As for the blaster itself, I would go for Doopydoo

I read somewhere that the only accepted fabric for the duster was fleece that pills. You know those small balls you get on clothes when wearing it:)

Re: Snowtrooper! Lets do this!
I'm pretty sure fleece isn't the only option, it might just be that it is preferred because it is cheaper? I think real wool would be preferrable, as it breathes, and fleece does not.
Here's the info from the Costume Reference Library (CRL):
Duster
For 501st approval:
White / Off-White in color
Must be made of a medium to heavy weight material that "pills" after wear.
Should extend down to at least the tops of the boots but no further than the top of the ankle.
Corners of the duster are rounded.
Should include belt loops for belt.

Ah ok! My bad:)
Anyone with experience of fabric that can recommend some correct "pill" fabric in Sweden?:)
Or know the Swedish word for it?

Re: Snowtrooper! Lets do this!
I recommend to take your time on your blaster if you ordered a doopydoo kit!
The requirements for approval are very basic:
You don't need a blaster for approval, but if you have one, must be ANH with 6 tracks, without counter or power cylinders.
So the Doopydoo without modifications will do well, but be only fairly accurate and unsatisfying for its potential. If you have or consider getting a dremel you can improve many things, clear out details, add real allen screws, make a trigger mechanism using a pen spring, add electronics, LEDs...
It's going to be the thing you'll be bringing with you everywhere, so don't make it just basic.

Re: Snowtrooper! Lets do this!
Yes of course!
I wouldn't want to do anything but as good as possible. I'm a reenactor since 7 years back where top class on your gear means everything.
I bought a Dremel 1 year ago and I love it! And I've ordered the ESB converting kit also. Isn't it suposed to be the ESB stunter that is correct for Snowies?
Thanks for your tips!
