I've put on the 3cm strips on the biceps so it fits.
And I've decided on going with velcro on the shoulder straps so the armour will be easier to pack n' travel with.
The 'problem' when building my first armour is... I want more!
So I'm already planning my next costume and the one after that.. and after that.. depending on how much cash I got lol.

Yeah. That's pretty much most people's experience. Once you start walking the path....18705 wrote:The 'problem' when building my first armour is... I want more!

Another update, I did glue one of the thighs together and here's the results:
Quite slim so I had to use slightly bigger strips than most use, 3cm back and I think 2,5 in front.
So right now I started to glue the other thigh together. Slow n steady but fun as h***!

Re: 18705 and 99114s TX thread
Small update.
I've glued together the other thigh now and front of the shins.
I wondered if I should go for a separate velcro strip or I shall glue it on the shin and use a smaller strip on the non-glued area.
Well, when I'm done with that, there aint much to do at the moment.
Still waiting on canvas, buttons etc.
Ah yes! Painting the helmet, is there any special type of color you guys use or is "hobby paint" good?

Thanks for the tip!74210 wrote:Humbrol is one of the brands recommended and used for TKs. Easy to find in out part of the world.
I found some Humbrol paint at the local "all-around-store" and painted the mic tips and teeth.
I was checking a lot of references before painting so I'm quite happy with the application.
And I'm thinking of putting another layer of paint to make it thicker and fuller. But 6 hours of drying sooooo... Zzzz....

A little preview again, glued most together as you can see.
Glued the "four button plate" to the chest as I speak.

Tadaa!!
I totally forgot to buy glossy black for the screws on the ears lol.
It's silver, not white haha. I blame my front camera on my iPhone.
I can taste victory... But there's one problem... I noticed that ATA use ~60mm for their tube pipe (Thermal Detonator) and that seems to be quite hard to fix when 60mm tubes is mostly a US-only thing.
But I'll research more and visit shops and ask.

Glued on the rest of the abs buttons and put on velcro on the shins, gosh I'm tired now...
Got the canvas today so now I can fix the belt too, hehe.
